Thanksgiving Weekend [Petersburg area,VA photographer]

Thanksgiving weekend was a busy weekend for me. I had two sessions Saturday and one on Sunday. Two of my sessions were family session, one of which was strictly Christmas. My third sessions was a cute, young couple. I had so much fun with each and every session. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to work with such wonderful people. LIFE IS GOOD. :)

christmas session

I had my first actual Christmas session today for my sister-in-law and her kids. Her oldest is autistic which posed a challenge.  lol He could care less about getting his picture taken. After each shot he got up ready to go :) The youngest is two and doesn't want to sit still. I managed to get some decent shots even with these difficulties. I find every session is a new learning experience.

Family Session [ Mechanicsville,VA ; Family Photographer ]

I had the priviledge of photographing an awesome family today! I had an extra set of muscles to help me unload and load my van, and the icing on the cake was the hug and kiss from a little miss when it was time for me to go.

Jenny, thank you for allowing me in your home to photograph your family, for the coffee and the krispy creme. Your kids are the sweetest.

Furry Friends Session

I spent the afternoon photographing these adorable dogs. :) They are so full of personality. They thoroughly enjoyed all the extra treats !   :)

Halloween

Well.... another Halloween completed. The girls enjoyed carving their pumpkins. As usual the removing of the "guts" was messy business. It was in hair, shoes, armpits.. lol Then it was draw and carve time. The youngest  drew the face all by herself!!! Hope all of you had a happy and safe Halloween!

Pumpkins

Well ... we were a little disappointed today. Turns out the pumpkin patch we used to go to no longer exists. At least not this year. I was sad because I had already pictured in my head the photos I would be taking .. LOL  The girls didn't care where we went as long as they got pumpkins. So we ended up at a local farmers market. The girls picked the BIGGEST pumpkins they could find. Now I will just have to pose them in the backyard. :)

Weekend

We are in for a beautiful weekend! One of my nephews will be celebrating his 5th birthday. I will of course be taking plenty of photos! :) 

I plan to take the girls to the Pumpkin Patch on Sun after church. I am really looking forward to that. This will be the first year that my youngest will actually understand what is going on. I figure I will let them draw the faces on the pumpkins when we get home but will not carve until Wed. That way the pumpkins won't rot before Halloween. Around here there is always the possibility that it will be hot enough to rot carved pumpkins quickly. I of course will be taking many photos of the girls and their pumpkins!

Impromptu Fall Photo Shoot

It was a beautiful FALL day in Central VA today. My girls and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and take their pictures. I needed to update their photos and get some ready to send to family with the upcoming Holidays anyway :)

Finally Fall ...

Before moving here to VA, my favorite season was the summer. I must tell you that after living here for 10 yrs I am loving Spring and Fall ( if we happen to get a spring ). Now don't get me wrong, if I had to choose between 6 months of winter or 2 months of unbearable heat, the unbearable heats wins hands down. But I am finding that I prefer more moderate temps., like around low to mid 70s. I love having the windows open and allowing the fresh air to fill the house.
So, enjoy this beautiful fall day! I know I am going to. I may even step outside and take some fun nature shots :)

Martial Arts World

Well ... I spent the morning at a Martial Arts World Competition. These kids are amazing! You can tell that they all worked so hard and put their heart and soul into what they were doing. My personal favorite was the exhibition, a martial arts skit. They got to show off what they can do, but also show some of their personality as well. I had a great time. As a side note ..... Dream Team West End , you guys did great! :)
After watching these guys I am thinking I may want my girls involved in Martial Arts!

Well ... I have made some minor changes to the website, trying to make it more user friendly. Would love to hear any comments any of you may have. Christmas Sessions

All Sessions will include a cd and an 8x10 in your favorite pose. Any groups over 5 will have an additional $5 per person added to session fee.
     30 Min session 2 poses  -   $40
     60 Min Session 4 poses  -  $70  ( 1 outfit change allowed  and 10% discount on a la carte print orders)
     90 Min Session 6 poses  -  $100 ( 1 outfit change allowed, Small and Large Group Shots .. also  includes 20 Christmas cards and a 15% discount on a la carte print orders )  
     2 hr Session  -  $140 (2 outfit changes; Pajama Shot; large Group, small group and individual shots .. also includes 25 Christmas cards and a 20% discount on a la carte print orders )

Discounts are not applied to print packages as they are already discounted.

Crystal and Joe - Engagement

We went to Maymont as well as Old Towne Petersburg to shoot Crystal and Joe's engagement portraits. I had such a great time. They were alot of fun. I love it when the people I photograph are actively involved in the creative process.
