Halloween

Well.... another Halloween completed. The girls enjoyed carving their pumpkins. As usual the removing of the "guts" was messy business. It was in hair, shoes, armpits.. lol Then it was draw and carve time. The youngest  drew the face all by herself!!! Hope all of you had a happy and safe Halloween!

Pumpkins

Well ... we were a little disappointed today. Turns out the pumpkin patch we used to go to no longer exists. At least not this year. I was sad because I had already pictured in my head the photos I would be taking .. LOL  The girls didn't care where we went as long as they got pumpkins. So we ended up at a local farmers market. The girls picked the BIGGEST pumpkins they could find. Now I will just have to pose them in the backyard. :)

Weekend

We are in for a beautiful weekend! One of my nephews will be celebrating his 5th birthday. I will of course be taking plenty of photos! :) 

I plan to take the girls to the Pumpkin Patch on Sun after church. I am really looking forward to that. This will be the first year that my youngest will actually understand what is going on. I figure I will let them draw the faces on the pumpkins when we get home but will not carve until Wed. That way the pumpkins won't rot before Halloween. Around here there is always the possibility that it will be hot enough to rot carved pumpkins quickly. I of course will be taking many photos of the girls and their pumpkins!

Impromptu Fall Photo Shoot

It was a beautiful FALL day in Central VA today. My girls and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and take their pictures. I needed to update their photos and get some ready to send to family with the upcoming Holidays anyway :)

Finally Fall ...

Before moving here to VA, my favorite season was the summer. I must tell you that after living here for 10 yrs I am loving Spring and Fall ( if we happen to get a spring ). Now don't get me wrong, if I had to choose between 6 months of winter or 2 months of unbearable heat, the unbearable heats wins hands down. But I am finding that I prefer more moderate temps., like around low to mid 70s. I love having the windows open and allowing the fresh air to fill the house.
So, enjoy this beautiful fall day! I know I am going to. I may even step outside and take some fun nature shots :)

Martial Arts World

Well ... I spent the morning at a Martial Arts World Competition. These kids are amazing! You can tell that they all worked so hard and put their heart and soul into what they were doing. My personal favorite was the exhibition, a martial arts skit. They got to show off what they can do, but also show some of their personality as well. I had a great time. As a side note ..... Dream Team West End , you guys did great! :)
After watching these guys I am thinking I may want my girls involved in Martial Arts!

Winter/Christmas Backgrounds
